Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam came back to form with his highest one-day international score, 158, at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Stadium.
The 26-year-old batsman, a leader, played as a captain the largest input of any Pakistani. Babar Azam was the first Pakistani captain to score a century in England after 38 years, winning a further distinction.
In 1983 Imran Khan had hit Leeds a century earlier than him [Prime Minister].
He played superbly and made a record 158 runs during Tuesday’s day-night match.
The star batsman also had a record of Muhammed Rizwan against England, the longest ODI partnership of 179.
Azam was also the only Pakistani cricket player with his tonne to hit three hundred ODI. Everyone had struck two centuries in English soil with Saeed Anwar, Fakhar Zaman, and Imam ul Haq.

ODI series against England Babar Azam Optimistic
Earlier, Babar told him and his team it was a bad day. “It’s been a bad day for us, unfortunately. Bowlers from England bowled so good and the loan goes to them,” he said. “
“We’re going to sit together and plan what went wrong, as I said, on a bad day. We’ll try to surmount our weaknesses in the following game and come forward strongly,” he added.
He added: “I’m going to sit with the kids and trust them. [Don’t ger worried] I’ll say, “Ghabrana Nahi Hai. “We’re going to bounce back,” concluded Azam.
After the previous English Coronavirus squad tested positively, it was asked Azam, whether his side was thinking of calling the trip off, “No, we didn’t think of it, and at any time it didn’t come into our mind.”
