
During the ongoing National T20 Cup 2021, three bookies were detained at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The bookies were taken into custody by security forces from within the stadium, according to sources, and they have since been sent to the New Town Police Station for further investigation.

During the competition, security forces have detained eight bookies so far. The bookies have ties to the Indian bookie mafia, which has an influence over cricketing activities around the world, according to the initial inquiry.
The Indian bookie mafia has deep ties to the UAE, and they have operated for decades in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the UAE, and adjacent nations. According to reports, after a comprehensive preliminary investigation, the security services have already filed charges against the eight bookies.
Previously, security agents detained bookies at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium during the last edition of the National T20 Cup and the second Test match between Pakistan and South Africa. During the PSL 2020 tournament in Karachi, 13 bookies were also caught, according to reports.
