After the amount of elbow extension in the reassessment was within the 15-degree threshold of tolerance allowed under the ICC Illegal Bowling Regulations, Pakistan Cricket Board declared today that fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling action was judged to be legitimate.
As a result, he is now eligible to bowl in international and domestic cricket across the globe.
Hasnain was banned from bowling after tests on his bowling motion were done at the ICC’s approved testing centre in Lahore on January 21. His bowling motion was determined to be illegal in the test report, which was reviewed and validated by Cricket Australia’s independent expert.
Hasnain’s bowling action was reassessed on May 21 at the ICC’s approved testing laboratory in Lahore, and the report was double-verified by Cricket Australia’s independent specialists, as required by ICC regulations.
During Cricket Australia’s domestic cricket league in January, Hasnain was reported for a questionable bowling action.
