David White Not sharing threat details with Pakistan Cricket Board

CEO David White of New Zealand Cricket did not disclose information of the danger with the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB).

Just before the beginning of the first ODI in Rawalpindi, New Zealand left its tour. Following 18 years, they tour Pakistan, but after a warning from the New Zealand government they intensified.

“We appreciate this time for the PCB and wish to extend our sincere thanks for its professionalism and attention to Chief Executive, Wasim Khan, and his colleagues.

David White added that the series was looking forward to, but all changed.

He remarked, “A particular and credible threat to the squad is something that I can convey.

“All changes Friday. “All changes. The advice has changed, the level of threats has altered and as a result we have only taken responsible action.”

“There was no way we can stay in the nation, unfortunately, given the information we received.”

The NZC was initially comfortable with security measures in Pakistan, he said, which is why their delegation was deployed to Pakistan.

But last night, Pakistan organised a chartered New Zealand jet to Dubai.

Most of the members of New Zealand fly for Indian Premier League play in Dubai (IPL).

David stated he thanked the PCB for helping them with his team’s safe departure.
