Former Sri Lankan captain Marvan Atapattu has tipped Pakistan to win the ongoing T20 World Cup in 2021. Atapattu believes that Pakistan is the team to beat in the tournament because of their familiarity with the conditions.
According to Atapattu, the conditions in the UAE are very similar to those in Pakistan, and the Pakistan team has already played a lot of cricket in the country. He stated that there is no better team in these conditions than Pakistan because they know how the pitch will play in each match.

“I think they can do the length to bowl and the shots to play in their sleep.” “They are very familiar with the conditions,” Atapattu explained.
He went on to say that a truly great team will have to play out of their skins to defeat Pakistan in the tournament. He went on to say that Pakistan’s raw talent, as well as the way each team member has stepped up their game in the mega event, has been amazing to watch.
“If you ask me to pick a team from the four semi-finalists, I’d pick Pakistan to win the tournament,” Atapattu added.
Pakistan is the only team in the T20 World Cup to have won every game, defeating all five teams in the Super 12s round. On Thursday, the Men in Green will face Australia in the crucial semi-final in Dubai. The winner will face New Zealand in the competition’s final, which is set to take place on Sunday, November 14th.
