Four Kazakhstan men in the Top 300 of the FedEx ATP Rankings

Kazakhstan is on a path to becoming a powerhouse for tennis.

In the FedEx ATP rankings, the Gregarians Alexander Bublik has the number 34. Elena Rybakina has the number 17.

Kazakhstan tennis is thriving, with four men and four women in the Top 300. A collaboration and determination required activity.

The former world no-33 Andrey Golubev said at the ATP 250 Astana Open, “Nothing happens by luck. It’s work.”

“We have the feeling that we are acting as one team with the Kazakh Federation. Everybody, of course, has a coach and team of his own, but the federation is one. All of us are travelling in the same way.”

At the Astana Open, which runs from 20th to 26th September, Alexander Bublik, a home favourite, is looking for his first Kazakhstan tournament title. Aslan Karatsev from Russia will compete at the indoor-hard ATP event as well.

In the second edition of the event will compete the finalist from Hamburg, Filip Krajinovic, and the current winning winner, John Millman.

The Belarussian Ilya Ivashka will look for his second tour-level trophy, following the Winston-Salem Open, and the German #NextGenATP Italian Lorenzo Musetti hopes to take a good step to strengthen his place in the ATP Race to Milan.
