Haris Tahir advances to Asian Snooker Championship semi-final

After defeating Khalid Kamani in the quarterfinal, Pakistan’s Haris Tahir is through to the semifinals of the 36th Asian Snooker Championschaft.

Haris won by 5-2 in the best of nine sets. He participates in the semi-finals against the Iranian rival later today at 4 pm.

After failing to meet the vaccination requirements stipulated by the host government, Qatar, he was replaced with Muhammad Asif.

The Pakistan Billiard and PBSA to send him to the competition with Babar.

In the fourth-finals, Haris defeated Ali

After defeating Ali Alobaidli, in Qatar, Haris went to the fourth final.

Haris showed excellent sporting skills in playing breaks of 93 and 75 against his Qatari opponent, taking first frames 93-08 and 75-27 in the opening two frames and leading by 2-0. In the third frame Ali Alobaidli returned with a 78 break, 2-1.

Haris kept his advantage in 4th frame 60-51, finishing at 60-all with the 5th frame.

The sixth framework featured a tremendous duel between the 2 cueists with Haris Tahir leading series 3-2. After taking two colour balls in the sixth frame, he sealed his place in the quarterfinals
