
From October 28 to November 14, left-handed top-order batter Saud Shakeel will head future Pakistan hopes on a tour to Sri Lanka, which will include two four-day matches and three 50-over matches in Kandy and Colombo.

Other internationals picked in the 19-player team include Abdullah Shafique (T20I), Arshad Iqbal (T20I), Haider Ali (ODI, T20I), Naseem Shah (Test), Usman Salahuddin (Test and ODI), and Zahid Mahmood (Test and ODI) (T20I).In order to maintain consistency in selection, the selectors have kept players who had recently played for the national team but were unable to get into the starting lineup.
Kamran Ghulam, Salman Ali Agha, and Mohammad Haris are among them.
The selectors have included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s teenage wicketkeeper Salman Khan and Central Punjab’s top-order batsman Qasim Akram in the roster, with an eye on next year’s ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2022 in the West Indies.
