
A few days before the tour officially started, Romanian band Akcent expands their love for and support for Pakistan, under the guise of security concerns, following the sudden and disappointing abandonment of its Pakistani tour.
Akcent released a live clip with Pakistan’s enormous crowd on its official Facebook. “Many times I was in Pakistan and always felt like a home. There I feel safe, and Pakistan’s affection is incredible. I’m going to come back more frequently than not. I love my fans! I love my fans! Zindabad Pakistan,” read the subtitle.

A few minutes before the first match in Rawalpindi, the cricket team from New Zealand has pulled off their tournament in Pakistan, citing safety concerns, both countries respective cricket boards.
The team of NZ was scheduled to take on Pakistian turf for 18 years on Friday in its maiden match on Pakistani soil.
However, the New Zealand national body of sports has published a declaration declaring it “abandoned” the tour by a security notice from the government.
“The Black Caps were decided to continue their tour following an escalation in the New Zealand Government level for Pakistan and the advise on the ground from the NZC security experts,” the statement stated.
In spite of the “foolproof safety preparations” made for the Series which was to comprise of three one-day international matches in Raualpindi and 5 T 20s in the East City of Lahore, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declared the tour was “unilaterally” cancelled by NZC.
The PCB statement said: “PCB is ready to continue the planned matches.” “Between now and this final minute withdrawal, cricket lovers in Pakistan and elsewhere would be dissatisfied.
