The International Hockey Federation has revealed the pools (four groups of four teams each) and match schedules for both the Men’s and Women’s upcoming FIH Hockey Junior World Cups.
The IHF Odisha Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021 will begin on November 24 with a match between Belgium and South Africa at the Kalinga Stadium, the outstanding venue that hosted the 2018 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup. According to a press release issued here, the Final will take place on December 5th.
Following England’s withdrawal, Poland will compete in Pool B alongside the hosts and defending champions, India, as well as Canada and France.
While the Men’s Junior World Cup South Africa 2021 will conclude in India, the FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup South Africa 2021 will begin with a match between Ireland and Zimbabwe at the North-West University (NWU) of the academic city of Potchefstroom, located approximately 120 kilometers west-southwest of Johannesburg. The Final was set for December 16.
South Africa will compete in Pool D alongside Germany, Spain, and the United States, while Argentina will compete in Pool C alongside India, Japan, and Russia.
