With two PSL titles under their belt, Islamabad United is the most successful team in PSL history. Islamabad United is a force to be reckoned with in Pakistan’s main T20 league, having been one of the most consistent and exciting teams in the competition’s history. In the previous edition of the PSL, Islamabad United was the side to beat in the group stages. In the group stages of the competition, the Red Hot Squad set a competition record by winning eight out of ten games. Shadab’s men, however, were unable to maintain their strong form in the playoffs and were eliminated from the competition before the final. This season, though, the players of Islamabad United will be keen to enhance their performance and win their third PSL crown. The group is well-balanced and well-equipped to face the challenge, and it will be a strong contender for the PSL 7 crown.

Islamabad United Team Players

T20 specialists from all around the world are part of Islamabad United’s PSL 2022 squad. Alex Hales, Colin Munro, Paul Stirling, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, and Asif Ali are among the players on United’s team. While the nucleus of the team from the previous season has been retained, Islamabad United has also added youthful talent such as Azam Khan and Danish Aziz to their ranks. Some new faces have been added to the Islamabad United squad, such as Marchant de Lange and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, while Reece Topley has been recalled after missing the previous season due to injury.

Islamabad United Schedule

Islamabad will kick off their campaign on 30 January at National Stadium Karachi against Peshawar Zalmi, while their final group stage match will be on 20 February at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore against Multan Sultans. The two matches between Islamabad and the Lahore Qalandars will take place on February 5 in Karachi and February 19 in Lahore. The PSL 7 fixture list for Islamabad United can be found here.
