Matthew Hayden, a legendary Australian batter and current Pakistan batting consultant, praised Babar Azam for his wonderful temperament and magnificent ability to remain calm under pressure.

Babar’s consistency, according to Hayden, is what distinguishes him as one of the best players in the world. He described Babar as “very stable” and “not overly flamboyant.” He also compared Babar’s personality to that of India’s star batter, Virat Kohli, and stated that the two players are almost diametrically opposed.
“In fact, I would go so far as to say he has the polar opposite personality to someone like Virat Kohli, who is very animated, passionate, and boisterous on the field,” Hayden said.
The 50-year-old believes Babar possesses all of the necessary ingredients to become the best batter in the world. He stated that Babar’s ability to remain calm under extreme pressure is what distinguishes him as a great player. He went on to say that Babar picks up the line and length of the ball much faster than the average batter, which is a sign of a great player.
Hayden stated that Pakistan’s current crop of players is exceptional, and the entire team is focused on winning the T20 World Cup for their country. He stated that being a part of this team has been a wonderful experience and that the way the entire squad is united is something he has not seen in any other team in the world.
