The head trainer of Pakistan, Misbah-ul-Haq, and coach of bowling, Waqar Younis, have instantly abandoned their jobs. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the appointment of interim coaches of the next limited-over series against New Zealand, including the former international players Saqlain Mushtaq and Abdul Razzaq.
In September 2019, both Misbah and Waqar were nominated and, after great thought, both opted to quit.
