Mohammad Hafeez, a veteran all-rounder, became the 22nd batsman in history to run 7,000 T20s. In Pakistan’s embarrassing loss to Zimbabwe, Hafeez achieved the personal milestone in Harare’s second T20I.
HAFEZ has only reached the highlight as Teammate Shoaib Malik is the only other Pakistani to score over 7,000 runs, Malik scored 10,488 in 389 innings and is the third-highest runner of all T20 history.
For the past couple of years Hafeez has been a major player in Pakistan’s T20I side. He was the T20I leader by the year 2020 with a score of 415 runs with four half centuries and a career-best score of 99*.
Hafeez has long been a national team, he recently played Pakistan’s 100th T20I. He also scored 46 runs for Pakistan’s first ever T20I match against England in 2005 as Pakistan won its first T20I match with 5 wickets.
In 2021 the 40-year-old was a little out of touch, with 65 results on average in 6 intakes at 13.00. He will return to form in the Zimbabwe series decision scheduled for the third consecutive win of the T20I series, which will take place on Sunday.
Hafeez has recently revealed that his objective is at present to represent Pakistan at the Indian T20I World Cup, he needs to return to form rapidly in order to make his national claim.
