On Thursday, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi clarified that his daughters were not on any social media platforms.
“I would like to clarify that none of my daughters have any social media accounts; please disregard any ‘accounts’ or ‘news’ associated with my daughters,” Boom Boom tweeted, alongside a screenshot of a fake account allegedly associated with his daughter Ansha.
The fake account’s bio stated, “proud to be the daughter of Boom Boom Shahid Afridi and Angel of Nadia Afridi.”Later, the account’s description was changed to “Big fan of Shahid Afridi 10.” Before Twitter suspended the account that showed Shahid Afridi standing with his daughters in the display picture, it had over 5,600 followers. Aqsa, Ansha, Asmara, Ajwa, and Arwa are the ex-five captain’s daughters. A few days ago, a video of one of Afridi’s daughters went viral on social media, with someone asking her if she was the national player’s daughter. To which she jokingly replied, “No, she’s his sister.” She later corrected herself, saying that she was, in fact, Afridi’s daughter.
