After reaching the number one spot in the ICC batsman ODI classification, Skipper Babar Azam is all set to record another record on T20 internationals.
Babar is now ready to add another achievement, since it has removed Virat Kohli from number one position in ODI Batsman classification. This is the fastest to 2000 T20I runs.

In a declaration, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said,
“To break Indian’s Virat Kohli record of fastest 2000 T20I runs which the Indian captain reached in 56 innings, Babar, who was named number-on player last week in the ICC ODI Rankings needs 60 more runs.”
Today, Babar has 1,940 of 49 innings, on average 48.50. It’s only 60 runs below 2,000 runs. At the first three-part T20I series against Zimbabwe, starting on Wednesday, Azam will hopefully score those runs.

PCB added to its declaration,
“Since last year’s series against Bangladesh, Babar’s capital was constantly improving. The green men have won four series of T20Is (Bangladesh 2-0, Zimbabwe 3-0 and South Africa 2-1 and South Africa 3-1) apart from the 1-1 series draw against England, and still have a single T20I series to lose.”
“If Pakistan wins all three games against Zimbabwe, they’ll be one point and narrow the gap to four. The 2-1 series will continue to keep you in fourth place, but cost you two points, and take you down to 260,” added PCB.
