Pakistan’s team management has named a 12-man squad for the upcoming first Twenty20 International against Bangladesh. As expected, Babar Azam will captain the team, with Shadab Khan serving as his deputy. There are a few changes from Pakistan’s starting eleven for the T20 World Cup in 2021.

While Mohammad Hafeez opted out of the tour to give younger players a chance, Imad Wasim and Asif Ali were not named to the 12-man squad. In place of the trio, an exciting young batter, Haider Ali, an all-rounder, Mohammad Nawaz, and an explosive middle-order batter, Khushdil Shah, has been named to the squad.

The first Twenty20 International (T20I) between Pakistan and Bangladesh is set to take place on Friday, November 19 at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. The two teams will play three T20Is before concluding the tour with a two-match Test series.
