Pakistan vs New Zealand Sarfaraz Ahmed not to be the part of squad against NZ

After announcing the 20-man team for the next New Zealand One Day International (ODI) series to be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium later this month, former Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed did not reach the National Squad.

The Pakistani squad is composed on the other hand of Mohammad Haris the wicketkeeper, Mohammad Wasim and Shahnawaz Dahani the quick bowlers, Zahid Mahmood the wrist-spinner, and the middle class Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah.

The PCB further noted that Iftikhar was the last player in Zimbabwe, while Khusdil had played just in one match.
Moreover, several batters as as Haris Sohail, Salman Agha and Shoaib Maqsood failed to clinch their place in the 20-man PCB team.

Muhammad Wasin Chef Selector claimed that some players are dissatisfied that they are not in the team. However, the new cricket season will begin, and these players will exhibit their performance in order to boost their prospects of joining Pakistan.

Wasim called it an incredibly significant New Zealand ODI series. The series is intended for the ICC Men’s World Cup qualification.

Furthermore, the PCB has sought to establish a “formidable and balanced unit” taking into account ICC WC qualifications.
“We have continued to make sure that, while looking into the future, we offer exceptional performers opportunity to establish a strong bench,” the PCB statement said.

Shahnawaz failed to join the national team last month as the group was announced during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 in a fight against England series.

Muhammad Wasim Jr. has also been an excellent choice, since throughout the Pakistan West series he displayed excellent performances.

He added, Zahid was added to support Usman Qadir, a leg spinner. In the past, Zahid had been extremely successful playing in Lahore versus South Africa.

While the first choice for a wicketkeeper was for Mohammad Rizwan,
Mohammad Haris was placed in Sarfaraz “not just to reward Haris for his excellent performances at home in the previous season but also to give him an international cricket flavour and flair along with its rigours and expectations.”
