PCB to Open National High Performance Centers in Interior Sindh & Balochistan

Newly elected Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, announced that the Board is working to open the Sindh and Balochistan Inland National High Leistungen Centres.
He stated that recently, in Interior Sindh, a large number of bright young cricketers are being developed and it is crucial that they are equipped and structured to thrive at a high level. He added that young players need extensive coaching and nursing at the top level, and PCB will provide them with the facilities they need to develop their game.

The former director added that cricket Pakistan has over the past five years entirely disregarded Balochistan and that cricketers cannot develop their skills in the region. He stated that Balochistan has great potential and PCB will seek to unlock interesting talents with sufficient infrastructure and facilities.

Ramiz stated that his goal is to strengthen the country’s grassroots cricket and raise the standards of the country’s premium cricket. He added it is sad that in the last couple of years certain areas and provinces were neglected, causing cricketers in these places.

The 59-year-old said one of his objectives is to make cricketers from the local cricketing company. He argued that only players from their local region should be included in a specific cricket society to assist promote talent in the specific region. In the neglected regions such as Balochistan, he stated that it will assist build infrastructure.
