According to Geo News, Prime Minister Imran Khan is planning a trip to Dubai to watch the T20 World Cup final if Pakistan advances.
All eyes will be on Dubai today as Pakistan takes on Australia in the second T20 World Cup semi-final. The winner of today’s match will face the Black Caps in the final, who defeated England in a thriller on Wednesday night.
According to Geo News, if Pakistan wins tonight’s match, the prime minister has expressed a desire to visit Dubai and watch the T20 World Cup final in person.

Meanwhile, according to Geo News, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry stated to the Prime Minister that if Pakistan qualifies for the final, he must travel to Dubai.

In a dig at New Zealand, the information minister stated that the Kiwis’ security concerns will be “completely resolved” when they face Pakistan in the final.
The minister of information was referring to New Zealand’s last-minute withdrawal from a tour of Pakistan in September, citing security concerns. Chaudhry predicted that Pakistan would “certainly” win today’s match because the entire nation was rooting for them to win, and he told the players that they have the potential to become superstars.
The minister also stated that five different players from Pakistan’s cricket team had won Player of the Match awards in the five matches that Pakistan had played thus far.
“Let’s see who becomes the sixth Player of the Match,” said the minister of information.
