Multan Sultan Sets A Target Of 181 Runs For Islamabad United

In the sixth edition of the Qualifier of Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021) Multan Sultan sets a target of 181 runs for Islamabad United.

Multan won the toss and chose to fight Islamabad first.

After making an appeal for caught behind, Akif Javed received Mohammad Rizwan’s first and important wicket in the second half, but the skipper could not get the bat.

On 59 runs, the Shadab Khan could break the Sohaib Maqsood Partnership, and on 25 runs, Shan Masood was able to break the last lbw, thank you for a good long ball that turns in from the outside.

Shadab was able to dismiss an important batsman Rilee Rossouw for a duck after sending Sohaib back to the pavilion.

However, Johnson Charles was able to build a 40-run partnership in 41 runs following the rapid dismissals to help the team rebound in the match.

Sohaib struck six fours and three sixes in the 13th match, a half-century.

On the 15th, Johnson shot in a straight direction, but Faheem Ashraf got his first wicket. But iftikhar Ahmed had a good catch.

On the 17th, Faheem took Sohaib’s much needed wicket, which he was released for 59 laps with the help of an Akif Javed catch.

Khushdil Shah did 42 runs in the last overviews with some impressive shots (five six).

Islamabad won four wickets earlier in the match against Multan.

In ten league matches, Islamabad won five games on the trot, ending with an incredible eight victories. Of the first four games of the Karachi leg, they won three.

Usman Khawaja and Colin Munro’s foreign opening duo blinked at them.

Usman wrote the Abu-Dhabi leg for only a century, leading Islamabad to victory over Peshawar Zalmi in a record-breaking thriller last week.
