TikTok has finally released the teaser for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) anthem.
Atif Aslam and Aima Baig sang the song, which was created and composed by Abdullah Siddiqui.
The opening lines are: “Hath Hawa main uthalay, dilon ka Khosla barhalay, shoot Zara to matchplay,” according to BOL News.
The song’s idea, according to a press release published by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is uplifting and inspiring, with the words and music aimed at lifting the spirits of fans and the nation while the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aslam will be performing the PCB’s hallmark event song for the first time, while Aima was included in last year’s blockbuster hit “Groove Mera.”
Atif Aslam is a well-known Pakistani vocalist who has penned numerous chart-topping songs for both domestic and foreign cinema productions. In 2008, the Pakistani government awarded him the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (medal of merit), and he has since received more than 50 awards from both within and outside Pakistan.
Baig is one of the most well-known female singers in Pakistan. During the previous seven years, she has had a number of hits and has garnered local and international recognition.
“Every musician’s dream is to produce this anthem,” Abdullah said of the occasion. “The PCB has given me an incredible chance this year, and I’m really grateful.”
“Both Atif Aslam and Aima Baig are clearly the best, and working with them has been a pleasure.” He went on to say, “I can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve come up with.”
“We tried to write a song that captures the spirit of the game in a meaningful way while also being incredibly fun and catchy,” the producer explained.
