Ramiz Raja to Punish Babar Azam by Removing Him From Test Captaincy Sources

Sources indicate that Pakistan’s top Batsman, Babar Azam, will probably be replaced as a Test Captain. Sources indicated that Ramiz Raja and Babar Azam, Pakistan’s new head of the Cricket Board (PCB), did not have the right relations to a positive beginning and Ramiz chose to remove him from the Test Captaincy.

Sources dedicated to the topic also revealed that Mohammad Rizwan, a wicketkeeper batsman, is now nominated to replace Babar Azam and assigned to the position of new test captain.
Although this storey was declared authentic by the sources, several other cricketing journalists have denied this and said, that the PCB did not discuss the replacement of Babar Azam as the test captain.

In November 2020 Babar was named as the test captain in Pakistan and has started out in the longest format of his captainhood. He won five of his first six matches as a test captain and had one of Pakistan’s best kickoots to reign as captain.

It was previously reported that Babar voiced disgust with the Pakistan T20 World Cup team after several of his suggestions were overlooked by the selection committee. These allegations have however been rejected, as CEO PCB, Wasim Khan, indicated that Babar is completely behind the squad and that the choice of the T20 World Cup squad was no problem.
