
Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman, is largely regarded as one of the best limited-overs captains in the world. Despite being ousted from the national team captaincy a few years ago, Sarfaraz has performed admirably as a captain in domestic cricket. After winning his 86th match as captain of Sindh, Sarfaraz became Pakistan’s most successful T20 skipper. Sarfaraz has eclipsed former captain Shoaib Malik, who led his side to 84 victories in the game’s shortest version.

The 34-year-old reached the milestone during Sindh’s National T20 Cup triumph over Northern.Sarfaraz Ahmed has captained 140 T20 cricket matches, the most by a Pakistani player, and has a victory rate of 61.4 percent, only behind Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez. The tenacious wicket-keeper batsman captained Pakistan’s limited-overs squad for a successful period.
During his tenure, he led Pakistan to 11 straight series victories, the most by any captain in the world, and the Men in Green also became the world’s best T20 team.Sarfaraz’s most memorable triumph as Pakistan captain came in the ODI format, when he guided Pakistan to victory in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final, defeating arch-rivals India by 180 runs, the largest margin of victory in an ICC final.
