Shoaib Akhtar, a former Pakistan fast bowler, has responded to Virender Sehwag’s comment on his bowling action, saying that Sehwag should not say such things unless he has more information than the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Recently, the Indian opener claimed that picking Pakistan’s fast, Shoaib Akhtar, was difficult since he used to jerk his elbow, adding that the bowler was aware of his tossing.
Virender Sehwag may believe his bowling motion is unlawful, but no one else in Pakistan or India does, according to the world’s fastest bowler, because his bowling action has been cleared by the International Cricket Council.
When Akhtar’s bowling motion was scrutinised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1999, he was barred from international cricket for one month, but his action was eventually ruled legitimate after a study from the biomechanics lab.
Akhtar went on to say that he has a different opinion regarding Virender Sehwag because, as a great player and India’s best opener, he should talk with caution at his age.
“I wish to strengthen relations between India and Pakistan with my words,” Akhtar stated, expressing his disgust with the remark. Let Virender Sehwag think anything he likes about me because I am a Pakistani national hero.”
In response to Sehwag’s claim that Akhtar was an unpredictable bowler, Akhtar stated that his goal has always been to get the batter out rather than harm him. He claimed that Sehwag makes such things frequently, but that he considers him a good friend.
