Shoaib Malik was an all-rounder in Pakistan following an embarrassing 19 round defeat from Zimbabwe, who was shocked by the team leaders. In a relatively easily running 120 chase, Pakistan’s batting lineup collapsed completely, only bundling it out for 99, with Zimbabwe bouncing back to 3-Match T20I Series 1-1, again.
The 39-year old was not so much impressed by the attitude and approach of the Pakistani team leaders and the team’s captain and the team’s chief selector, he believes, should have full authority in choosing the team.

Malik, himself a former captain, recommended that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) employ an international coach to improve Pakistan’s cricket whites and bring it up to modern game standards.
Malik, who hoped to return to the national side of T20I, accused the team’s management of picking players in accordance with their own will and dislike, said these players’ preferences have led Pakistan to such an embarrassing loss.
Malik has taken Twitter to tell his fans his thoughts:
– Unacquainted decision makers need to take a step back; Babar & chief selector need to call the shots. In my opinion we need an international white ball coach who understands cricket inside out & grooms our captain whilst giving clarity to our players for coming time…

Malik seriously thinks that the captain should have been the final part of the team and also that the team selection and decisions on the field should be fully authorized for him. He said the responsibility of the coach is to care for the players and the commander and to develop modern strategies to deal with the opposition.

The performance of head coach, Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis is not satisfactory to fans and experts in the cricketing community. Rumors were found out that the last chance to persuade the board to retain South Africa was its tour of Pakistan, and the default on Zimbabwe raised serious questions regarding its capabilities as it succeeded in defeating South Africa.
