Pakistan’s Shaheens faced South Africa in a T20 World Cup warm-up match on Wednesday, and the Proteas thrashed the men in green by six wickets.
Rassie van der Dussen of South Africa scored a heroic century to lead his country out of the woods. The game came down to the last ball. South Africa, on the other hand, never looked unsettled after Dussen’s quickfire half-century, and it appeared as if victory was almost certain when Hassan Ali’s final over began.
The Pakistani bowlers quickly dismissed the Proteas openers, but they were unable to contain the South African team after Rassie van der Dussen took charge and smashed 101 runs.
