

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical team has declared wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and veteran middle-order batter Shoaib Malik fit to play. Malik and Rizwan had both been sick with the flu for a few days and had missed the team’s training sessions as well.
Both players had been tested for COVID-19 on multiple occasions, and thankfully for the Pakistan cricket team, the results were negative.

So far, the duo has been instrumental in Pakistan’s success in the ongoing 2021 T20 World Cup. They both have multiple match-winning knocks and have contributed to Pakistan winning all five of their matches in the tournament thus far.
Pakistan will face Australia in the mega event’s semi-final on Thursday night, with the winning team joining New Zealand in the final. This will be Pakistan’s seventh T20 World Cup match against Australia. Prior to this match, each team had won three matches.
