West Indies won the toss and chose to bat against Sri Lanka in a T20 World Cup match they must win to keep their slim semi-final hopes alive.
The champions have two points from three games and must beat both Sri Lanka, who are already out, and Australia to have a chance of making the last four.
Even so, they will still require other results to go their way, as well as an improvement in their poor run rate.
“There are a lot of different things around, mathematical equations, but as a team we are comfortable and hopefully can do well,” West Indies captain Kieron Pollard said.

The West Indies have remained unchanged for the match, while Sri Lanka, who are playing their final game of the tournament, have brought in Binura Fernando in place of fellow seamer Lahiru Kumara.
“We tried our hardest, but our batting department didn’t work out.” “We could have made the semi-finals if everything had clicked,” said Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka.
