This was Sri Lanka’s first victory in the 19-month ODI series. After a series victory over South Africa, they won 10 points.

But only four matches out of 15 have been won in Sri Lanka. The ICC men’s Cricket World Cup could therefore be very tough to qualify straight.

During the Super League, 8 bilateral 1-day series before the 2023 World Cup will be played by the top 13 teams.

Following that, Indian and seven other teams will fight for the 2023 World Cup in the World Cup with supplementary qualifiers in tournaments, who qualify for the WC.
